EXPERIMENTAL ANALYSIS OF INDUCED DRAFT COOLING TOWER BASED ON TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE

    The most aim of this project is to extend the cooling rate by modifying the look i.e. by replacing the fill material with the aluminum trays and reducing the peak to supply an energy efficient. In this, use trays for the water to maneuver horizontally in each tray and find an oversized area for the water to evaporate. Thus the peak of the tower is reduced by use tray type. This cooling is counter-flow type. Thus understand the fundamental principles of cooling operation, forms of cooling, and various components employed in cooling, the factors affecting the cooling performances and energy saving opportunities in cooling. A general study was made on the look consideration of cooling, importance of energy balance and mass balance while designing the cooling, influence of Wet bulb temperature in cooling performance, applicability of Psychometric chart in cooling design & formulas used for designing the cooling towers and performance calculations. The performance of counter flow tray type cooling like efficiency, losses results were compared with the fill material bottle type cooling and also investigating the performance of counter flow tray type cooling in numerous seasons.
